A special new Sirens song, Look, was premiered on Remembrance Day, 2004, on the Ukrainian service of CBC International. Look (subtitled Eighty Thousand Voices) is written from the perspective of Castle Mountain, looking down upon what has been done to the people barely surviving at its feet.
Recorded over two evenings in London, Ontario, Live at the Ugly Mug Café features previews of new songs from Sirens’ upcoming studio CD, favourite songs from both of Sirens’ previous releases, and the combined voices of almost 200 audience members.
Smilin' has fourteen more original songs, and helped the Sirens sign to the Borealis Recording Company! Smilin’ is their first Borealis release, and is available for sale on-line. Collectors will want to look for the original independent release version with different cover art.
